WELCOME
Greetings to all. If you are reading this it is because we (BTW Alumni Assoc.) are announcing our new website, BTWLAC.com, which stands for Booker T. Washington Los Angeles Chapter. Your name or email has appeared because at some time in the past you either are or were a participant in our Alumni Association, traveled with us on our casino trips, attended one or more of our functions, or the Summit in Las Vegas, or are friends or relatives, or associates of members of our Alumni. At any rate, we welcome you.

This site is open and available to all people who either attended and or graduated from Booker T. Washington, as well as friends, associates, donors, or relatives of alumni. Our mission is to provide educational scholarship assistance to qualified students of BTW, Memphis, TN, who need and/or deserve such support to further their education.
We are a non-profit organization (501c(3)), and all members are 100% unpaid volunteers. In the past, we have raised funds by giving bus trips to the casinos, accepting donations, provided seed money for the BTW 2000 Summit in Los Angeles, as well as the BTW 2007 Summit in Las Vegas, NV, and other venues, all of which have been profitable. We therefore welcome any donations, all of which are tax deductible.
Our organization has donated $9000 to the BTW student scholarship fund in the past, and $5000 in September of 2011. We've received letters of acknowledgement and gratitude from the Principals, Elsie Bailey, Alisha Kiner (current), and from the Superintendent of Schools, Kriner Cash,Ed.D.
Since there is strength in numbers, we would love for alumni reading this to register. That way you can provide feedback, keep up with other registered classmates, and be aware of past and current events. You can also post pictures of your own or of your events. At present, there is no charge for joining and being a part of this site and organization.
So come on. Join us by creating your profile and let's make a successful connection. There is also no advertising on this site so it lessens the possibility of contracting a virus.
